The project aimed to achieve a gas production capacity of 1,000,000,000 cubic meters per year at the Kashagan field in the Atyrau region. During the documentation preparation, aspects such as Samruk Kazyna rules were taken into account fully, and in accordance with the client's request, FIDIC rules were implemented. Additionally, INCOTERMS provisions were included to enhance supply regulations and align them with international standards.
We conducted a comprehensive analysis of the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract to ensure compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international practices. Our legal experts participated in negotiations between the contracting parties, exerting a significant influence on the success of the negotiations. We also provided consulting services on attracting direct foreign investments, tax law, and customs control within the framework of the project, which involved cross-border relations between Kazakhstan and China, including the laws of the People's Republic of China.
The Unicase team prepared an additional agreement to rectify any non-compliance with legislation and complement the provisions required by the parties and approved during the negotiations.
