Our legal Team assisted the giant tech-corporation, NBTC Limited, a part of THE9 Limited, a Nasdaq listed gaming corpo. We represented the Client during an arbitration procedure against a Kazakhstani company regarding the supply of almost 7,000 mining machines with a US$ 5,000 approximate cost of one miner and the estimate profit loss of US$ 1,650,000.

An ex-partner of NBTC Limited was charged by the economic police as an illegal miner; as a result, almost 7,000 mining machines were arrested. Unicase assisted NBTC Limited during the criminal investigation, analysing the licensing documents, internal contracts, customs and tax documents, and negotiating with economic police.
This project reflects the hectic nature of today’s business environment in Kazakhstan. The country ranks the world’s second in cryptocurrency mining. Thousands of companies build infrastructure and bring funds to the local economy.
Some local operators would take advantage over legal mining companies, which makes other foreign investors question their presence in Kazakhstan, and this is where Unicase tears in to protect the miners.
