We advised a large Qatar project management company on acquisition of 100% participating interest in the limited liability partnership, the owner of large land plots in Kazakhstan. We obtained the right for the hunting preserve management in the territory of Kazakhstan, supported negotiation process with the Sellers and with the regulatory authorities, drafted share purchase and transfer agreements, and prepared all the necessary regulatory approvals, the state-required.

We developed a long-term and cost-effective strategy to recover debts, which takes into account peculiarities of the local litigation practice. The case is important to Kazakhstan as ICMD develops Karaganda Complex Alloys Plant and possesses exclusive licence rights for the production and sale of ferro-silicon-aluminium, a Kazakhstan alloy (FSA) worldwide. The successful debt recovery increases investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan and signals that foreign investments are duly protected.

Unicase represents the Holding in courts in relation to debt recovery under loan agreements against Kazakhstani counterparties.
