  • Lead legal consultant on the development of a 1 GW wind power plant with an energy storage system of up to 1 GWh in the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan. The USD 1.4 billion project involves TotalEnergies, Samruk-Kazyna, and KazMunayGas. It is expected to generate up to 4 TWh of renewable energy annually and reduce CO₂ emissions by 3.5 million tonnes.

  • Lead legal consultant for the organisation of two auctions for the construction of 1 GW wind power plants with integrated Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Kostanay, with a total project value of USD 7 million, in cooperation with the EBRD.

  • Lead legal consultant on a USD 1.5 billion investment project for the construction of a 1 GW combined-cycle gas power plant in the Turkistan region. The project involves a consortium of South Korea’s Doosan Enerbility and Kazakhstan’s Bazis Construction.

  • Lead legal consultant on a KZT 326 billion project for the modernisation of the thermal power plant in Almaty, involving JSC “Almaty Power Stations” and international financial institutions including the EBRD, ADB, and DBK. The project includes the decommissioning of a coal-fired unit and the construction of a new 600 MW combined-cycle gas power plant.

  • Legal advisor to Tetra Tech ES Inc., the implementer of the USAID Power Central Asia programme, on the development and reform of the Market Council Institute in Kazakhstan. The engagement forms part of a 5-year, USD 39 million regional initiative aimed at enhancing energy sector performance, supporting clean energy integration, and improving energy security across Central Asia.

  • Senior Policy Analyst for the Kazakhstan Country Report under the REmap 2030 initiative, developed by the Secretariat of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the IRENA Innovation and Technology Centre (IITC), and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The initiative aimed to assess the realistic deployment potential of renewable energy technologies across all energy sectors through 2030 and beyond.

  • Lead legal advisor on the development and implementation of auction mechanisms for renewable energy projects in Kazakhstan, under the guidance of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The project focused on introducing a competitive auction-tender system to attract private investment in the renewable energy sector.
