Mr Kubenov is a Partner at Unicase and a leading lawyer with a solid track record in Infrastructure, PPP, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, and Corporate Law. Nurlan has extensive experience advising deals with roads, airports, transmission and distribution, renewable energy assets, and social infrastructure in Central Asia. He is adept at navigating different transactional challenges, and the cross-border needs of his Clients.
His experience includes drafting and negotiating agreements to acquire companies or equity participations in hydrocarbon assets as well as companies operating in other sectors in Kazakhstan, and associated due diligence reviews, acquisition agreements and joint venture agreements, project development agreements, and engineering, procurement and construction contracts. He also has significant experience in the areas of competition and commercial law.
Nurlan has advised a broad range of Clients, from start-up companies to large multinationals; suppliers and customers - from project developers to project investors, regulators, acquirers and sub-contractors, and has advised clients on a number of "first in country" transactions.
