Destruction of medicines and medical devices (thermal, chemical, mechanical or other) is a procedure preventing their further use.
Subjects
Individuals or legal entities engaged in pharmaceutical activities. Licenced organisation carrying out the destruction of medicines and MDs, based on an appropriate agreement.
Location
The place of destruction is determined by the owner (subject) upon written agreement with the territorial subdivision of the authorised body.

Obtaining a local disposal permit, which requires an environmental impact assessment and an environmental conclusion
Announcing in local mass media (newspapers) and on the notice board news on holding a public hearing for the destruction of medicines (5 working days)
Applying for a public hearing at ecoportal.kz (2 working days)
Arranging a public hearing (10 working days)
Receiving of the environmental conclusion
Preparation of Act on the destruction of medicines
Obtaining of Hazardous Waste Passport for destructible medicines
Applying to the organisation carrying out the destruction of medicines with a package of necessary documents (including the above mentioned as well as other documents on medicines upon request)
The organisation carrying out the destruction will obtain a permit for the destruction by submitting documents to the relevant authorities. Once the permit is obtained, the destruction is carried out in accordance with the Rules on the destruction of medicines and MDs
