His professional background includes involvement in a number of large-scale cross-border energy projects, such as acquisition of wind farms in Kazakhstan, advising on the auctions framework in the renewable energy sector, legal and regulatory review of green cities action plans in Kazakhstan under EBRD Green Cities programme.
Kurmet is actively engaged in regulatory reforms aimed at improving investment conditions in the energy sector and contributes to the development and adaptation of international standards into Kazakhstan’s legislation in areas such as tariff regulation, decarbonisation, energy efficiency.
