She manages a team of four individuals within the BD department, executing daily operations and the full cycle of business development activities. Nurai brings experience in developing and maintaining long-term relationships with global and regional clients, including institutions and investors from Europe, the United Kingdom, China, and the Middle East. Her work includes understanding client needs, mapping opportunities for cross-practice collaboration, and coordinating the preparation of persuasive proposals, pitch materials, capability statements, and bespoke marketing collateral.

Nurai has a strong track record in the planning and delivery of high-profile events, seminars, webinars, and conferences aimed at strengthening the firm’s market presence and thought leadership. She identifies strategic sponsorship opportunities and maintains relationships with industry associations, chambers of commerce, and professional organisations.

She regularly collaborates with partners and senior lawyers to produce and promote thought leadership materials, including articles, research pieces, and presentations. She also plays a key role in preparing bid and tender documentation for international financial institutions, such as the EBRD, ADB, and the World Bank. She oversees the firm’s submissions to leading legal directories. Nurai manages Unicase’s internal and external communications programmes, working with multinational networks and stakeholders, including Andersen Global, IFIs/DFIs, public-sector institutions, and foreign consulates. She holds a double degree from recognised international universities and strong working proficiency in four languages- Kazakh, Russian, English, and Chinese - which supports her ability to work effectively across diverse jurisdictions and cultural environments.
