In this publication, we would like to emphasize the most significant amendments and novelties of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, adopted in July and planned for adoption in August 2020.
In particular, important changes were introduced regarding quarantine measures on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
Quarantine is extended for another 2 weeks from August 3, 2020. Additional restrictive measures will be introduced in regions in accordance with the decrees of the chief sanitary doctors of the region.
Now, when going outside, it is required to comply with the mandatory requirement for wearing masks, with the exception of children under 5 years old, as well as individuals involved in individual and group sports, no more than five people, keeping a social distance.
Public catering facilities will work on weekdays and weekends from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm only in the open air with a seating capacity of up to 30 people.
Changes related to banking and lending issues:
From July 21, 2020, the Board of Directors of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan issued a resolution, in accordance with which the base rate of the National Bank is set at 9.00% per annum.
