M&A in Renewable Energy in Kazakhstan

The existing potential for the development of the renewable energy sources (the “RES”) in Kazakhstan is significant. Even though the renewable energy (the “RE”) sector is at an early stage of its development, during the last decade the Government of Kazakhstan has created favorable conditions for the production, transmission and sale of electric and thermal energy produced from the RES.

Uzbekistan: Drive to Digital

Mr Mirziyoyev, the President of Uzbekistan, has declared the 2019 as the ‘Year of active investments and social development’. In his annual Presidential Letter in December 2018, Mr Mirziyoyev remarked that active investments have to go in parallel with digitalisation, as introduction of technology tools to the governmental mechanisms shall lead to GDP growth in Uzbekistan.
